Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 pounds Potatoes peeled and quartered
  • 5 tbsp Unsalted Butter divided
  • 1 White Onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup Carrots diced
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Corn Kernels
  • 1/4 cup Pea
  • 1 1/2 cup Ground Round Beef
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1/2 cup Beef Broth

Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatos: Peel and dice potatoes and place in a medium pot. Pour at least an inch of cold water into the pot. Add a teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook until tender (about 20 minutes). When potatoes are cooked, remove from pot and place in a bowl with 3 tbsp butter. Mash with a fork or potato masher, taste, and season with salt and pepper.
2 pounds Potatoes, 1 tsp Kosher Salt, 5 tbsp Unsalted Butter, Black Pepper, freshly cracked
  • Sauté the Vegetables: Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and carrot and cook until softened. Add peas and corn and cook for 2 min.
5 tbsp Unsalted Butter, 1 White Onion, 1/2 cup Carrots, 1/4 cup Cooked Corn Kernels, 1/4 cup Pea
  • Cook the Ground Beef: Add ground beef to pot with onion and vegetables. Cook until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth or water. Bring broth to a boil, then reduce heat. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes, adding more beef broth as necessary to prevent the meat from drying out.
1 1/2 cup Ground Round Beef, 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce, 1/2 cup Beef Broth
  • Assemble Casserole: Layer the meat mixture and mashed potatoes in a casserole dish. Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly in a large casserole dish. Spread the mashed potatoes on top.
  • Preheat and Start Cooking: Set the oven to Bake mode at 215°C, preheat ON, and baking time 18 minutes. Press the "Start Cooking" button to start preheating. Once preheated, place the pie on the roasting pan and insert it into Level 2.
  • Remove the Shepherd's Pie from Oven: Using oven gloves, carefully remove the Shepherd's Pie from the oven.
  • Serve and enjoy!
