Prepare the meatloaf. Prepare a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, Dijon mustard, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
1 pound ground beef, ½ pound ground pork, ½ cup onion, finely chopped, 3 each garlic cloves, minced, 2 each eggs, beaten, 1 cup breadcrumbs, ¼ cup milk, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tbsp dijon mustard, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp Paprika, 1 tsp kosher salt, 20 turns black pepper, freshly ground, 1 tbsp garilc powder
Prepare the meatloaf glaze. To make the glaze, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
¼ cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, ¾ cup ketchup, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Put the meat into the loaf pan. Transfer the mixture of meat to the loaf pan and smooth out the top with a spatula. Brush the glaze over the top of the meatloaf evenly.
To ensure the meatloaf is cooked at the best results, monitoring its internal temp is crucial. By using the Typhur Sync wireless meat thermometer, you can set the target temperature to 160℉/71°C by selecting Beef > Other > Meatloaf in the parameters list on the Typhur App. To ensure accurate temperature readings, insert the probe into the center of the meatloaf, making sure that the probe's marking is completely inside the food. Push the probe through the top of the meatloaf. To begin the process, press the start button on your phone.
Place the meatloaf on the oven tray, then place the oven tray on a rack in the oven. You will be notified when the meatloaf is ready to come out of the oven.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven. Using a pair of oven mitts, carefully remove the tray with the meatloaf and transfer it to a heat resistant surface. Let the meatloaf rest for at least 3 minutes. (The internal temperature will continue to rise by the Carryover Cooking.)
Serve and enjoy! Carefully remove the probe. For a more succulent meatloaf, you can enhance its flavor by brushing additional glaze onto the top before slicing.
